On June 21, Dow Company (hereinafter referred to as Dow) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new high value-added silicone resin plant in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province. The new plant is expected to be completed and put into production in 2021. The new facility, located in Dow's integrated silicone production facility in Zhangjiagang, will significantly increase the global capacity of Dow's high value-added silicone resins to meet the growing demand for specialty silicone products in related industries and emerging markets around the world.

High value-added silicone resin is a high-tech material and a key raw material for the manufacture of specialty silicone products. It is widely used in home and personal care, pressure sensitive adhesives, defoamers and secondary optics.
