Why there is silicone residue on the release film

Hits: 955 img

A release film refers to a film that is distinguishable on the surface of the film. The release film does not have tack or slight tack after contact with a particular material under limited conditions.

The silicone oil content of the release film is generally determined according to the use of the product. Generally, the silicone oil content of the release film is in the range of 0.10 to 0.20 g/m2.

Why there is silicone residue on the release film

(1) Silicone oil has a small surface tension (easy to leak from the machine).

(2) The solubility of silicone oil gas is large (it is difficult to design a gas seal device).

(3) Silicone oil has a large thermal expansion coefficient (probability of overpressure).

(4) The lubricity of silicone oil is not good, especially the lubricity of steel steel friction pairs.

(5) The certain hygroscopicity of silicone oil (after the water content is higher than 100×10-6, the electrical performance drops sharply)
