HC Chemical Network News: Shanghai, China, May 24, 2017 - Dow Chemical Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, global silicone, silicon-based technology and innovation * Dow Corning China Investment Co., Ltd. appeared in the 13th Shanghai International Adhesive Tape, Protective Film and Optical Film Exhibition (Shanghai International Tape and Film Exhibition, APFE2017), (Booth No.: Booth T26 in Hall 4.1) Highlights Advanced Silicone Release Agents and Organics for High Performance Release Films and Protective Films Silicon pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) product portfolio. Pressure sensitive materials increase productivity and sustainability, reduce costs and promote the promotion of new film substrates, and the market needs to be increasingly strong. These innovative silicone technologies are tailored to meet this need, including: Aqueous emulsion release agents, solvent-based and solvent-free release agents, and platinum-cured silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives.

In addition to the exhibition, Dow Corning technical application expert NancyZhang will also be entitled "High Performance Environmentally Friendly Release System - Silicone Emulsion Dispensing Solution" from 11:40 to 12:00 on May 24th in the conference room on the second floor of Hall 4.1. Report.

Frank Huo, Dow Corning's global PSA marketing manager, said: "Our customers face many challenges, such as: they need to comply with environmental regulations and reduce costs without compromising quality or performance, and Dow Corning's carefully developed silicone release agents and organic Silicon Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) can help meet these challenges. These advanced silicone technologies reduce coating costs, avoid VOCs emissions, improve optical clarity, and cure at lower temperatures, plus Dow Corning's reliable Global supply provides customers with the competitive advantage they need to succeed in the fierce competition in the packaging industry."

Silicone coating for high performance release film

Dow Corning will showcase a range of release agents designed for high-performance applications such as emerging film substrates. Its solvent-based LTC release agent series (including LTC759, LTC761, LTC310 and LTC750A) are designed for high-end release films for high optical transparency and high stable release force. Fast curing at temperatures for easy processing.

Another solvent-based product is the newly developed Syl-Off® SB9186 release agent, which combines low peel strength with high residual adhesion (SAS) and maintains a good surface appearance. The application target of this product is thin film film cutting, such as: die cutting applications requiring low stable release force and * small processing effects.

Dow Corning Emulsion Waterborne Release Agents complement solvent-free release agents and provide new options for compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations. These emulsion-type release coatings will also be on display at the Dow Corning booth, offering a better appearance and lower coating weight, which lowers the cost of use and is ideal for new film substrates such as polyester (PET) film substrates. Release agent.

In addition, to meet the ever-promoting PET substrate, Dow Corning has also developed Dow Corning® EM-7953 release agent for off-line PET film coating and the associated new Dow Corning® EM-7993 crosslinker. It meets the need for greater flexibility in film release applications and provides a lower, stable release force at lower coating weights.

    Silicone adhesive for protective film

Also on display is Dow Corning's comprehensive silicone pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) portfolio, a protective film that can be used throughout the manufacturing cycle of electronic equipment. Compared to non-silicone pressure sensitive adhesives, silicone PSAs offer significant advantages for these applications, including: better spreading and heat resistance, more stable adhesion control and adhesion, and higher optical clarity. (anti-yellowing), peeling without residue, and better reset performance.

For example, Dow Corning® 7666 Adhesive is a low adhesion, solvent-free platinum-cured PSA designed for use in protective coatings for electronic equipment processing and assembly, providing highly stable adhesion control and Cost-effective and can be used with medium to high adhesion PSAs (such as Dow Corning® 7657) to meet different adhesion applications.

Other silicone PSA technologies, including Dow Corning® 7645 and Dow Corning® 7464 adhesives, will also be on display at the Dow Corning booth, which is designed for aftermarket electronics protection films such as smartphone screen protectors. It can prevent the damage of the screen during daily use by consumers.

Dow Corning technical experts will answer visitors' questions during the APFE 2017 show and discuss the company's advanced silicone release agent and silicone pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) portfolio.
